The PTE exam is a newer entrant. PTE exam full form is Pearson Test of English. It has quickly become a formidable alternative, capable of accurately testing language skills using the latest technologies.
PTE is a globally recognised computer-based standardised language readiness test developed by Pearson Plc. and globally administered in association with Edexcel. As revealed earlier, the PTE full form is Pearson Test of English. The test follows language proficiency levels specified by CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) and reports scores on a scale of 10 to 90.
For non-native English speakers who want to study abroad, PTE Academic is an English language exam that is computer-based. It evaluates the candidates’ abilities in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Every question on the test typically combines the testing of two skills, such as reading and speaking or listening and reading.

The three English proficiency test types are administered by Pearson Language Tests, a division of Pearson PLC Group, to evaluate the English language proficiency of non-native speakers of the language.
The PTE exam format consists of 20 different question types, which test the;
⦁ Speaking & Writing skills (54 – 67 minutes): This section comprises six small sections that test you on your promptness over speaking and writing the written test that you would get to read for the first time. The complete section is given a time duration of 54 – 67 minutes and the time allotted to each segment
⦁ Reading skills (29 – 30 minutes): This section tests the candidates on the basis of their ability to understand the written instructions in the language. The section further divided into 5 segments is 29 to 30 minutes long
⦁ Listening skills (30 – 43 minutes): The listening section of the PTE Academic is stretched over 30 to 43 minutes of duration. This one is designed to determine the ability to understand spoken English by the candidate. Here, the student needs to ascertain that they carefully hear the audio file played and retain what they heard. This section is divided into 8 segments
